Voici ce qui vous attend l'an prochain: l'étude d'une de ces oeuvres.
Pour les sessions 2007 et 2008 de l'examen du baccalauréat général, le programme de lecture de l'épreuve orale d'anglais, LV1 de complément, en série littéraire, est le suivant:
- William Shakespeare : Macbeth ;
- Mary Shelley : Frankenstein ;
- Charles Dickens : David Copperfield ;
- Jean Rhys : Wide Sargasso sea ;
- Toni Morrison : Sula ;
- Julian Barnes : Cross Channel ;
- John Keats : Selected Poems (édition Aubier) ;
- David Goodis : Dark Passage ;
- Harold Pinter : The Caretaker ;
- Jennifer Johnston : How Many Miles to Babylon ;
- Ernest J. Gaines : A Lesson Before Dying ;
- Paul Auster : The Brooklyn Follies.
Les épreuves se déroulent comme suit :
la première partie de l'épreuve comprend le compte rendu, par le candidat, d'un des passages les plus significatifs de l'oeuvre complète étudiée et un échange, entre l'examinateur et le candidat, portant sur l'ensemble de cette oeuvre. Pour cela, le candidat présente une liste d'extraits représentant un volume global d'environ vingt pages.
La seconde partie de l'épreuve est un entretien prenant appui sur un document non étudié en classe.
Pour l'anglais, LV 2 de complément en série littéraire, LV 1 ou LV 2 en série économique et sociale, les professeurs sont libres d'utiliser ou non le programme de lecture prévu ici.
Lorsque les professeurs ont procédé à l'étude d'une oeuvre complète en classe, l'épreuve est identique à celle de la LV 1 de complément en série littéraire. Dans le cas contraire, la première partie de l'épreuve, compte rendu et échange avec l'examinateur, porte sur un des textes étudiés en classe ; la seconde partie demeure un entretien prenant appui sur un document non étudié en classe.

Un petit rappel de ce que vous devez faire avant d’arriver en cours mercredi :
Je vous demande de relire la nouvelle "The Landlady" et de préparer ce que vous aviez à faire pour la dernière fois.

Read as many as you can, using the dictionary if necessary, there are many different themes (children’s, crime, horror, romance, fiction, humour, non-fiction, sci-fi, hyper-fiction) so that everyone could find interest in reading them.
Don’t hesitate to ask me questions if you have some about these short stories and enjoy !

Today was a bit difficult as some of you were not really concentrated on what we were doing !! I hope now I changed their place that they will be more serious next time !!
Nevertheless, we finished the questions of N°2 and Andrea read us the text till l.250 (what a marvellous accent she has, hasn't she?).
HW: You have to prepare the questions of N°3 and learn the lesson for Wednesday.

Yesterday, we made an oral summary of The Landlady. You did it pretty well although not everyone tried to participate !! We finished correcting the comprehension questions and then we made a small test: “Make a brief summary of the short story”.
HW: During the holidays, you have to answer question 5 on a sheet of paper: "Imagine the story has one more page. Write it." I hope you will be very imaginative !!
